The planting process begins in the Autumn, with the deep ploughing of the field with a single furrow plough. During the winter rain and snow helps dissolve the big lumps of soil. Come spring the field get tilled with a tiller to smooth its surface. Afterwards the field is measured and the positions of the vines are pinpointed. Using wire ropes every vine is planted in its designated position. For the next three years we don't harvest the crops and the vine develops itself and builds up a root system.
